Sangbay Falls

The next day, we woke up early and prepared ourselves to go to Sangbay Falls. We decided to rent a tricycle that would take us to the trail that would lead us to the Falls. It was about 10 minutes walk along the fields and probably another 10 minutes downhill to the stream that flows from the falls. Along the trail, our tricycle driver/ guide spotted a snake. A few minutes more we were on the stream that led to Sangbay Falls.

Cebu Pacific Int'l Seat Sale for as low as P999

For travel this November 15-January 31, 2010

Asia’s third-largest low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) gives Asian destinations a boost with an all-international seat sale from October 15-19, 2009, for travel from November 15, 2009-January 31, 2010.For ‘Go Lite’ P999, passengers can book and buy flights from Clark to Bangkok, Singapore, Macau and Hong Kong, and from Manila to Kota Kinabalu and Taipei.

For ‘Go Lite’ P1499, passengers can book and buy flights from Manila to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Guangzhou, Ho Chi Minh, Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai, as well as from Cebu to Hong Kong and Singapore.

For ‘Go Lite’ P2499, passengers can book and buy flights from Manila to Incheon and Jakarta, and from Cebu to Incheon and Pusan. Those with check-in luggage will just add P100 upon booking. Osaka seats are also available for the ‘Go’ fare of P2599.

“We also have an ongoing promotion for 30 kilos free baggage allowance (FBA) for international flights out of Clark. Through these flights and promos, we hope to stimulate air travel to the Philippines and to key Asian cities,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

The Clark FBA promo is for Clark-Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore and Macau flights for travel from October 15 to December 31, 2009 only.

“CEB is also offering an P888 seat sale to all Visayas destinations from Manila, as well as for its Cebu-Clark service. We hope our passengers can take advantage of CEB’s trademark low fares in their travels,” Iyog added.

Churches in Lomo

Burgos, Pangasinan Weekend (Part I)

I was lucky to be invited by a friend to visit his hometown of Burgos, Pangasinan around the last week of June. I already had plans of visiting Burgos after I saw his multiply album feauturing Cabongaoan Beach, a local unspoiled white sand beach. Then one Friday evening, he just invited to me to visit Burgos the coming weekend and we will be leaving at around 2am the following day, Saturday. I made my decision to go with him just two hours before we left Manila.

We decided to meet in a convenience store in Cubao at around 1:30am.

We then proceeded to Victory Liner and boarded the bus headed to Alaminos City. The bus to be used for the trip was an ordinary bus but I had no problems with that since it was early morning and the weather wouldn't be that of a hassle. I had a hard time sleeping during this trip because I was really curious to the route that we would take since this would be my first time to visit Pangasinan's western part. There were a few naps but eventually I would wake up and just view the unfamiliar landscapes. The view became more interesting and got me more excited when I saw the sea. We just caught a glimpse of Lingayen Gulf as we passed through the town of Sual Pangasinan. It was around 7am when we arrived in Alaminos City. Atlast, I set foot on Western Pangasinan's soil. From the bus terminal, we had a short walk towards a waiting jeepney that would take us to Burgos. It took us another 30minutes or so to get to the quiet town of Burgos.
